More than 200 staying in TTMFs evacuated to hotels
The Department of Health (DOH) evacuated over 200 patients and staff from four Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities (TTMFs) to hotels in Metro Manila due to Typhoon Ulysses.
The TTMFs located in flood-prone areas included the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Rizal Memorial Coliseum, Philippine Arena, and Philippine International Convention Center.
Specifically, 146 patients and 99 staff were relocated to 'Oplan Kalinga Hotels'.
These individuals were transferred to Nice Hotels in Mandaluyong, Arayat, McArthur, and North Edsa.
The DOH also prepositioned essential medical supplies worth approximately PHP26.85 million to affected regions.
Health Emergency Response Teams are on standby for deployment, and hospitals have prepared functional generator sets and critical equipment.
