COVID-19 patients, staff in flood-prone facilities transferred to hotels —DOH
Over 200 COVID-19 patients and health workers were transferred from flood-prone Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities (TTMFs) in Luzon to hotels as Typhoon Ulysses brought heavy rains and flooding.
The transfers were facilitated by the COVID-19 Oplan Kalinga Team.
Specific transfers include patients and staff from Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Rizal Memorial Coliseum, Philippine Arena, and Philippine International Convention Center to various Nice Hotels.
The Department of Health (DOH) assured that its Centers for Health Development (CHDs) along Ulysses' path had prepositioned P26 million worth of medicines and medical supplies.
Operation centers at CHDs are working 24/7 to coordinate with local health offices and government agencies.
