DOH Davao reports 25 new COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths

The Department of Health Davao Center for Health Development reported 25 new COVID-19 cases in the Davao region, bringing the total to 843.

Of the new cases, 13 were recorded in Davao City, five in Davao del Norte, three in Davao Oriental, two in Davao de Oro, and one each in Davao del Sur and Davao Occidental.

The region now has a total of 335 active COVID-19 cases and 42 deaths.

Nine of the new cases were returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, England, and Kuwait.

Ten of the new cases were locally stranded individuals (LSIs) from Manila and Paranaque.

Three deaths were recorded on Wednesday, including a 39-year-old man from Barangay Daliao, a 63-year-old man from Barangay Lubogan, both from Toril District, and a 71-year-old man from Carahayan in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental.

Eight recoveries were also reported, with four from Davao City, three from Davao del Norte, and one from Davao del Sur.
