DOH Caraga reports 8 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health in Caraga Region (DOH-13) reported eight new COVID-19 cases on Friday, June 12, bringing the region's total to 22.

The new cases consist of Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) who arrived in the region between June 4 and June 8.

The cases include individuals from Agusan del Norte, Butuan City, and Surigao City, with some having traveled via specific flights and bus routes.

Most of the new cases are asymptomatic and are currently under quarantine.

These eight cases were among 62 specimens tested at the Southern Philippines Medical Center sub-national laboratory.

DOH 13 Regional Director Dr. Jose R. Llacuna, Jr. urged the public to adhere to health standards and stay home if unnecessary.
