DOH: Quarantine of Pinoys from China in New Clark City not health hazard to locals
The Department of Health (DOH) assured that Filipinos returning from Hubei province in China will be kept in isolation and will have no community contact during their 14-day quarantine at the New Clark City Athlete's Village.
DOH spokesperson Undersecretary Eric Domingo stated that the quarantine facility will not pose any harm to local residents as it is located far from the community within New Clark City.
He added that Health Secretary Francisco Duque III is reaching out to local officials to address concerns, including those from the municipal council of Capas, Tarlac.
Repatriates exhibiting flu-like symptoms will be transported to a hospital, while healthy individuals will undergo screening by the Bureau of Quarantine upon arrival.
Forty-five Filipinos from Hubei province have signed up for repatriation, and they will be transported via a chartered plane to Clark International Airport in Pampanga.
Each quarantined individual will be assigned their own room, and their movement will be restricted to their building during the quarantine period.
