DOH accounts for 26 South Korean tourists in Cebu

The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that all 26 South Korean tourists from Daegu who arrived in Cebu have been accounted for.

The last tourist, who initially provided incorrect address details, has been located and is currently in quarantine at a hotel in Cebu.

Of the 26 individuals, 17 have returned to South Korea, while the remaining nine are under monitoring in Cebu and Angeles City.

All 26 are considered Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) but are asymptomatic.

The DOH is coordinating with hotels to allow the eight individuals in Cebu to complete their 14-day quarantine.

The inter-agency task force will decide whether the eight Koreans in Cebu will be allowed to stay in the Philippines after their quarantine period, as they have expressed interest in remaining in the country.
