DMW to provide continued legal, humanitarian support to Filipina facing death sentence in Kuwait

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has pledged continued legal and humanitarian support for a Filipina domestic worker sentenced to death in Kuwait for allegedly killing her employer's child.

Secretary Hans Cacdac confirmed that the Philippine government is actively coordinating with Kuwaiti authorities to ensure the worker's rights are upheld and her condition is monitored.

Although the court has rendered a judgment, the DMW legal team is actively exploring all possible legal remedies for the case.

The worker is receiving regular visits and her well-being is being closely monitored by the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait.

The DMW is also providing support to the worker's three minor children in the Philippines to mitigate the impact of this situation on their lives.
