DLSU Lady Green Tracksters clinch first UAAP women's athletics title

De La Salle University secured their first ever UAAP Season 86 Women's Athletics title with 301 points, ending the competition with seven golds, six silvers, and six bronzes.

Season MVP Bernalyn Bejoy led the Lady Green Tracksters, securing four gold medals.

Bejoy set new UAAP records in the 400m (55.75) and 400m hurdles (1:00.49), and also won gold in the 800m race.

She was part of the gold medal-winning 4x400-meter relay team, alongside Hannah Delotavo, Erica Ruto, and Jessel Lumapas.

Daniela Daynata set a UAAP record in the discus throw with a distance of 44.81 meters.

Jessel Lumapas was also part of the winning 4x100-meter relay team.

La Salle's victory surpassed 25-time champions Far Eastern University and eight-time titlists University of Santo Tomas.

In men's action, National University dethroned two-time defending champions University of the Philippines for their breakthrough title.
