DHSUD, DSWD, Pag-IBIG Fund launch housing aid for 4Ps beneficiaries

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Pag-IBIG Fund have partnered to link housing assistance with social protection programs.

This collaboration officially integrates the 4Ps program with the government's Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, institutionalizing the provision of housing assistance to ensure beneficiaries transitioning out of the poverty alleviation program gain access to safe and affordable homes.

The first housing units were turned over to three graduating 4Ps families who are also active Pag-IBIG Fund members in San Mateo, Rizal.

These homes were part of the Abuab Towers project, a pilot development under the Expanded 4PH Program.

DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling highlighted the importance of inter-agency coordination in making homeownership more accessible, fulfilling President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive.

DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian emphasized that housing is a crucial complement to cash transfers and livelihood programs for achieving sustained progress for the poorest Filipinos.
