DFA reports 3 new COVID-19 cases abroad, 10 recoveries

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported 3 new COVID-19 cases among Filipinos overseas, bringing the total to 13,543.

There were 10 new recoveries, but no new fatalities were recorded, keeping the death toll at 935.

As of Saturday, a total of 8,627 Filipinos abroad have recovered, while 3,981 are still undergoing treatment.

Compared to last week's percentages, the total number of COVID-19 recoveries and fatalities decreased to 63.70 percent and 6.90 percent, respectively, while those under treatment increased to 29.40 percent.

The Middle East or Africa region has the highest number of cases with 7,836 Filipinos testing positive.

The DFA continues to partner with local health authorities to ensure awareness of preventive measures and attend to the needs of Filipinos abroad.
