DepEd taps journalists for TV learning teacher training

The Department of Education (DepEd) is enlisting prominent broadcast journalists to train teachers for television-based distance learning programs.

Top journalists from GMA7, ABS-CBN, and TV5, including Kim Atienza, Arnold Clavio, Karen Davila, Korina Sanchez, and Jessica Soho, are voluntarily sharing their expertise.

These training sessions aim to equip selected teacher-broadcasters with effective presentation skills and a better understanding of video production elements.

DepEd is also planning to build broadcast-ready studios nationwide, with 16 areas already preparing for this initiative.

The agency is eyeing to produce 130 episodes per week covering major subject areas under the most essential learning competencies.
