DepEd completes final dry run for DepEd TV

The Department of Education (DepEd) has successfully completed its final dry run for the DepEd TV broadcast learning modality from September 21 to 25.

This five-day rehearsal involved airing 26 episodes across various partner channels in preparation for the official opening of classes on October 5.

According to DepEd Director Abraham Abanil, the test broadcast was successful, allowing them to test logistics and procedures.

By January 2021, DepTV production aims to produce 220 episodes per week covering all subject areas, with plans to dub episodes in major dialects for kinder to Grade 3.

The broadcast will include lessons for the Alternative Learning System, grade school, and senior high school students, as well as professional development lectures for teachers and orientation sessions for parents.

DepEd TV had previously faced criticism for a grammatical error during an earlier dry run in August.
