DBM releases P5 billion for 4Ps arrears

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has approved the release of P5 billion to cover the 2023 arrears for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

This additional funding is sourced from the 2023 Continuing Appropriations and aims to address the deactivation or suspension of approximately 703,888 beneficiary households.

Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman stated that the funds will help mitigate the effects of inflation and ensure the continued delivery of essential services.

The DBM is committed to streamlining budget processes for faster and more efficient public service delivery.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. previously reported that over 420,000 households have successfully graduated from the 4Ps program or achieved self-sufficiency within a year.
