Cyclist shot dead in Rizal road rage incident

A road rage incident in Rodriguez, Rizal, resulted in the death of cyclist Toto Garcia after he was shot by an e-trike driver.

The confrontation began when the e-trike driver cut off Garcia, who then confronted the driver's sibling with a wooden bat, causing injuries.

Garcia's family was then attacked with a slingshot by the e-trike driver's family, prompting Garcia to chase the suspect.

During the chase, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Garcia, despite which Garcia managed to strike the assailant with his pipe before the suspect fled.

The victim's wife appealed for justice, stating her husband was merely trying to earn a living and that the dispute could have been resolved at the barangay level.
