COVID-19 vaccines for 5-11 year olds to start Feb 4 in Metro Manila

The initial phase of the COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 5 to 11 years old in Metro Manila is set to begin on February 4 at six identified vaccination sites, with an additional site at SM Megamall on February 5.

These initial vaccination sites in Metro Manila include the Philippine Heart Center, Philippine Children's Medical Center, National Children's Hospital, Manila Zoo, SM North EDSA (Skydome), and Filoil Gym in San Juan.

In addition to Metro Manila, vaccinations for this age group will also be available at 30 locations across Central Luzon and Calabarzon.

Muntinlupa City has identified two sites for its pediatric vaccination rollout: Laguerta Health Center and Ospital ng Muntinlupa.

The vaccination of minors aged five to 11 in Muntinlupa will start on Feb. 7, with party-themed decorations at the vaccination sites to make the atmosphere appealing and relaxing for the kids.

The target population for 5 to 11 year olds in Muntinlupa is about 68,000, with 9,653 already registered as of January 30.

Parents of children with comorbidities are reminded to bring their medical clearances and proof of relationship when accompanying their children for vaccination.
