2nd Mindanao coronavirus patient recovering well
The 21-year-old COVID-19 patient in Tagum City, identified as PH130, is showing signs of recovery at the Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC).
According to DRMC chief of hospital Dr. Bryan O. Dalid, the patient's cough, colds, and fever have subsided, and her condition has stabilized.
She will undergo further testing at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Manila to determine if she has been cleared of the virus.
If the patient tests negative in both nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal tests, she will be discharged.
The patient's family in Pantukan Municipality, Davao de Oro has been placed under a 14-day home quarantine.
PH130 traveled from the United Kingdom with layovers in Doha, Qatar, and Manila before arriving in Davao on February 29 via Philippine Airlines.
