COVID-19 cases rise to 707 in PH; 4 hospitals at max capacity

As of March 26, 2020, the Philippines has confirmed 707 COVID-19 cases, with 45 deaths and 28 recoveries.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported conducting 2,147 tests by 4 pm on March 26.

There are 722 patients currently under investigation and 6,321 patients under monitoring.

At least four hospitals, including St. Luke's QC, St. Luke's BGC, The Medical City, and Makati Medical Center, have reached maximum capacity.

The DOH stated that expanded testing capacity with operational sub-national laboratories is contributing to the rise in reported cases.

The World Health Organization has warned that the pandemic is accelerating but remains controllable.

The House of Representatives adopted the Senate version of a bill granting President Duterte emergency powers to combat the pandemic.
