Cone says Ginebra too satisfied after Game 4 win

Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cone admitted his team became "a little too satisfied" after tying the PBA Governors' Cup Finals series, leading to their lopsided Game 5 loss against TNT.

The Gin Kings suffered a 99-72 defeat in Game 5, allowing the Tropang Giga to take a commanding 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Cone acknowledged that while the margin of defeat was significant, the crucial point was simply losing the game, as a 27-point loss is the same as a one-point loss in the series.

He credited TNT for their readiness and hunger, highlighting their effective defense that limited Ginebra to a 32 percent shooting clip.

Adding to the struggle, Justin Brownlee was limited to only eight points.

Despite the setback, Cone emphasized that it was just one game and the focus must now shift to the upcoming Game 6, where they will need to play with desperation.
