Comelec starts nationwide distribution of voter info sheets

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has started the nationwide distribution of voter's information sheets (VIS) for the Eleksyon 2025.

Each VIS contains essential details such as the voter's name, address, precinct location, voting instructions, and a list of candidates and party-lists.

Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia led the distribution in Pasay City, emphasizing the VIS's importance for voters without internet access.

Garcia also highlighted that the VIS can help verify voter addresses, potentially leading to the prosecution or exclusion of those who do not reside at their registered address.

To ensure impartiality, the Comelec hired temporary employees for distribution, who are required to personally deliver the VIS or to an authorized representative.

The Comelec aims to complete the distribution process by April 30.
