Classes suspended in Bicol, Western Visayas, and other areas due to Tropical Depression Verbena

Classes were suspended in various areas on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, due to Tropical Depression Verbena.

In the Bicol Region, Sorsogon suspended all levels of classes in public and private schools.

Albay province shifted to alternative learning modalities for all levels in public and private schools, with face-to-face classes suspended until lifted.

In Western Visayas, Iloilo City suspended all levels of classes, and several towns in Antique province announced suspensions or shifts to alternative learning for various levels in public and private institutions.

Lopez, Quezon; San Pablo, Laguna; San Carlos City and Calatrava in Negros Occidental; Talisay City, Cebu; and Naga City, Cebu also announced class suspensions.

Tropical Depression Verbena made landfall over Bayabas, Surigao del Sur at 1:30 p.m. Monday and is expected to move across Visayas and northern Palawan before exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Thursday.
