Severe tropical storm Julian prompts class suspensions in Luzon

Severe tropical storm Julian, internationally named Krathon, prompted class suspensions in various local government units across Luzon for Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

In Ilocos Norte, Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc cancelled classes on all levels in public and private schools.

Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan also extended class suspension on all levels in public and private schools.

In Cagayan Valley, Batanes province suspended classes for all levels in public and private schools.

Several municipalities in Cagayan province, including Gonzaga, Lal-Lo, Aparri, and Tuao, also suspended classes.

In Apayao, classes and work from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and Alternative Learning System were cancelled.

Abra also suspended all levels in public and private schools, including ALS.

Baguio City and Benguet suspended classes for pre-school to senior high school and all levels, respectively, in public and private institutions.
