A Chinese national, Huang Sen, was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) for being an undesirable alien.
Huang, 38, was intercepted on January 11 as he attempted to depart the Philippines.
He is wanted in China for alleged involvement in illegal online gambling operations, with a red notice for his arrest issued by Interpol Beijing on December 4 of the previous year.
BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado confirmed Huang will be deported and blacklisted to prevent re-entry.
The BI flagged Huang due to a hit in the Interpol derogatory system during immigration processing.
According to BI-Interpol unit acting chief Peter de Guzman, a warrant for Huang's arrest was issued by the public security bureau of the Luojiang district in Deyang, China on August 27 last year.
The case stems from allegations that Huang conspired with other suspects in running illegal gambling sites on the internet that catered to online customers worldwide.
