Chery Tiggo nails final semis berth after downing Galeries Tower

Chery Tiggo secured the final semifinal berth in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference after defeating Galeries Tower in a challenging five-set match with a final score of 26-24, 23-25, 19-25, 25-12, 15-9.

The Crossovers will join Choco Mucho, Creamline, and Petro Gazz in the semifinals, with Chery Tiggo finishing the round-robin with a 9-2 record.

This win marks Chery Tiggo's seventh consecutive victory, making them the hottest team in the tournament.

Eya Laure led Chery Tiggo's offense with 20 points, including 5 blocks, and also contributed with 18 excellent receptions and 11 excellent digs.

Veterans Ara Galang and Mylene Paat contributed 13 and 9 points respectively.

Alina Bicar facilitated the offense with 16 excellent sets and 4 points.

Head coach Kungfu Reyes views the tough five-set match as valuable preparation for the higher competitiveness of the semifinals.
