Cebuano is 34th Covid-19 case in C. Visayas: DOH-7
The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Central Visayas increased to 33 after three new cases were reported on Wednesday.
DOH-7 director Dr. Jaime Bernadas stated that the Center for Health Development has notified relatives and officials about the test results to implement containment measures.
The three new cases include a 31-year-old from Mandaue who traveled to the National Capital Region, a 57-year-old from Cebu City, and a 54-year-old from Consolacion town.
The 31-year-old from Mandaue is suspected to be the source of the virus that infected two Cebu physicians, according to Bernadas.
The Cebu City patient remains hospitalized, while the other two new cases are under home quarantine and being monitored for influenza-like illness (ILI).
