Cebu Pacific 60 to 70% done with contact tracing of nCoV cases’ co-passengers
Cebu Pacific is contacting passengers who flew on the same flights as the Philippines' first two confirmed novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) cases, flights 5J 241 (Hong Kong-Cebu) and DG 6519 (Cebu-Dumaguete) taken on January 21.
The airline has completed 60 to 70 percent of its contact tracing for the approximately 200 passengers on these flights.
Passengers on these flights who have not yet been contacted are urged to call Cebu Pacific and seek immediate medical attention if they experience flu-like symptoms.
The pilots and crew of these flights have been placed in quarantine as a precautionary measure, and none have developed symptoms so far.
The aircraft have undergone thorough disinfection.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health reported that eight individuals who had contact with the infected couple have developed cough and colds.
