Cebu Pacific, AirAsia cancel flights until May 31

Budget carriers Cebu Pacific (CEB) and AirAsia Philippines have announced the cancellation of all their domestic and international flights from May 16 to May 31, 2020.

This cancellation is in response to Malacañang's declaration that Metro Manila, Laguna, and Cebu would be under a modified enhanced community quarantine until the end of the month.

Passengers affected by Cebu Pacific flights can manage their bookings online by choosing free rebooking within three months, placing the ticket cost in a Travel Fund valid for one year, or applying for a refund.

AirAsia Philippines allows passengers with bookings between March 23 and July 31 to choose a new travel date before October 31 without additional cost, subject to seat availability, or retain the ticket value in their membership account.

The two carriers had previously cancelled flights until May 15 due to the extension of the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila and other high-risk areas.
