Carlos Yulo qualifies for vault and floor finals in Jakarta worlds

Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo has qualified for the vault and floor exercise finals at the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, despite nursing wrist issues.

He secured the top score of 14.750 in the vault qualification round and ranked second in the floor exercise with a score of 14.566.

Yulo, a two-time gold medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2019 floor world champion, will compete in the floor finals on Friday, October 24th, and the vault finals on Saturday, October 25th.

Notable competitors in the finals include Armenian gymnast Arur Davtyan and British gymnast Jake Jarman, who was the floor bronze medalist at the Olympics.

Jarman topped the floor qualifications with a score of 14.70, while Davtyan qualified second in vault with 14.566.

Yulo expressed gratitude for his performance and safety after the qualification round.
