Camille Villar files COC for Senate, vows 'new politics'

Camille Villar, youngest child of the prominent Villar political family, has filed her certificate of candidacy for the Senate in the 2025 midterm elections, pledging to bring "new politics" to the country.

The Las Piñas City representative is running under the Nacionalista Party and is part of the Marcos administration's senatorial slate "Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas."

If elected, she would serve alongside her brother Mark, while her mother Cynthia completes her term limit.

Villar aims to push for legislation that would strengthen livelihood, support for education, housing, and empowerment for women and youth.

As a millennial, Villar stated that her generational perspective will shape her approach to politics.

Addressing questions about nepotism, Villar emphasized that all her family members who have served in public office were elected and expressed gratitude for the continuous support and trust from the Filipino people.
