Justin Brownlee plays with dislocated thumb, helps Ginebra tie Finals series

Barangay Ginebra import Justin Brownlee suffered a dislocated right thumb during Game 3 of the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup Finals.

Ginebra head coach Tim Cone initially believed the injury would sideline Brownlee for the remainder of the series.

Despite being a game-time decision, Brownlee played in Game 4 with his hand heavily taped, a decision that surprised Cone.

Brownlee's thumb was so unstable that Cone described it as "literally falls out" of the joint when the tape was removed.

He led Barangay Ginebra to a series-tying 95-78 victory in Game 4, scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists.

Jamie Malonzo also contributed significantly with a game-high 24 points, as Ginebra ended the game on a 17-2 run to tie the best-of-seven series at 2-2.
