Brig. Gen. Lucas returns as PRO-4A director

Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas has officially returned to his position as the director of the Police Regional Office-Calabarzon (PRO-4A), overseeing the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon.

Lucas succeeded Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky during a turnover ceremony held at Camp Vicente Lim, presided over by PNP Deputy Administrator Lt. Gen. Bernard Banac.

Wanky, who had previously replaced Lucas, served as Calabarzon police chief for two months before returning to his former post as deputy chief for administration of the National Capital Region Police Office.

Lucas and Wanky were among 12 reshuffled PNP officials reassigned to third-level positions based on a resolution by the National Police Commission.

Upon resuming his post, Lucas pledged to implement the 7-Point Agenda of PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. to enhance public service in the Calabarzon region.

Recent PNP data indicates that Calabarzon has experienced a significant decline in crime rates, ranking third nationally in this improvement for the first quarter.
