Bongbong Marcos isolated after COVID-19 exposure

Presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is currently in isolation after being exposed to at least two individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Marcos' spokesperson, Attorney Victor Rodriguez, confirmed that Marcos was first exposed to his chief security, who is currently in a quarantine facility, and also to Rodriguez himself who tested positive.

Marcos' headquarters in Mandaluyong City was ordered closed on January 3 after 20 staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

Due to his isolation, Marcos was unable to attend a hearing on Friday regarding three disqualification cases filed against him before the Commission on Elections (Comelec), even via Zoom.

Campaign preparations and other administrative functions of Marcos Jr.'s alliance with vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte-Carpio will proceed through work-from-home arrangements and virtual meetings.

All public appearances, sorties, and assemblies of their UniTeam Alliance will be postponed during this period.
