BOC to auction 13 luxury cars worth P200 million

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) will auction 13 luxury cars confiscated from contractor couple Curlee and Sarah Discaya starting November 15, 2025.

Proceeds from the auction are estimated to reach at least P200 million and will be remitted to the national treasury for government priority projects.

Assistant Commissioner Vincent Maronilla stated that the Discayas failed to provide sufficient proof of legal importation and proper tax payment for the vehicles.

Seven of the cars lacked importation documents and certificates of payment, while the other six had questionable or fraudulent documentation.

The Discayas and the vehicles' importers are prohibited from participating in the auction.
