BOC, PDEA seize P68-M ecstasy shipment at NAIA

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) successfully intercepted a P68-million shipment of ecstasy at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

The illegal drugs were concealed inside a box declared as 'dog food' and originated from the Netherlands.

BOC-NAIA agents discovered 13.9 kilograms of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, totaling 40,389 tablets, after X-ray scans revealed suspicious contents.

Four individuals, including the claimant of the shipment, were apprehended following the bust.

The operation is in line with President Marcos' directives to combat illicit substances entering the country, and authorities have vowed continued vigilance.
