BOC-NAIA releases over 50 million COVID-19 vaccine doses

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has announced the release of over 50 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines through the Port of NAIA.

These vaccines include seven different brands, procured by the government and received as donations from countries like China, the UK, Russia, UAE, and the US.

The total number of released doses comprises 29.5 million Sinovac, one million Sinopharm, 8.43 million AstraZeneca, 4.96 million Pfizer-BioNTech, 380,000 Sputnik V, 4.30 million Moderna, 3.24 million Johnson & Johnson, and 100,000 Hayat Vax vaccines.

This week, the BOC-NAIA cleared two shipments of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines totaling 839,870 doses.

Recent arrivals include three million Sinovac doses and 15,000 Sputnik V doses, which were processed through the BOC-NAIA COVID-19 One-Stop-Shop and immediately transported to a cold storage facility upon arrival.
