PH secures 194.89M vaccine doses

The Philippines has secured a total of 194.89 million COVID-19 vaccine doses, enough to inoculate approximately 100.5 million Filipinos.

Of the total, 48.89 million doses have already arrived in the country between March 1 and August 25.

An additional 42.11 million doses are expected to arrive from August 26 to September 30.

The government anticipates receiving another 103.59 million doses in the last quarter of the year, bringing the total expected arrivals by year-end to 145.7 million doses.

The national government expects its vaccine stocks to reach 170 million doses, supplemented by 24.90 million doses financed by local government units and the private sector.

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III stated that the country has secured all necessary financing for these vaccine purchases.
