BI foils attempt of 2 women to leave PH with fake documents

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) successfully intercepted two female travelers attempting to depart the Philippines using fraudulent documents.

One woman, aged 30, was stopped at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on February 4 before boarding a flight to Japan with a falsified Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO) certificate.

Another woman, 34, was apprehended on February 7 prior to boarding a flight to Malaysia with a tampered Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC).

The BI credited its enhanced detection capabilities to successful system integration with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the CFO.
