BI arrests 2 Chinese nationals at NAIA for deportation

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has arrested two Chinese nationals at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) who were flagged as undesirable aliens.

The foreigners, Shen Hao Dong and Liu Huan, were apprehended as they attempted to depart the Philippines, having triggered derogatory alerts in the BI's records.

Shen Hao Dong, 26, was stopped at NAIA Terminal 1 on September 29 while trying to board a flight to Xiamen, China.

Shen had previously been ordered for deportation in November of the previous year due to alleged involvement in prostitution, human trafficking, and labor exploitation.

Liu Huan, 33, was intercepted at NAIA Terminal 3 on September 21, preventing his flight to Bangkok, Thailand.

Liu is wanted by the Beijing government for economic crimes, and the BI had ordered his expulsion in May of the previous year.
