BDO finances PH first all-electric taxi fleet

BDO Unibank, Inc. (BDO) is providing financial backing for the Philippines' first all-electric taxi fleet, operated by Green GSM Philippines using VinFast vehicles.

The initiative aims to enhance sustainable transportation in the country by offering commuters a quieter and cleaner ride.

BDO's "end-to-end banking solutions," which include cash management, consumer banking, and insurance services, will enable VinFast Philippines and V-Green Charging Station Development Philippines Inc. to expand their electric vehicle (EV) availability and ride-hailing services.

V-Green has secured approvals to install EV charging stations in SM Supermalls, with plans for further expansion within the BDO-SM ecosystem.

Green GSM Philippines completed its integration with BDO's digital banking platform in June 2025.

The companies will collaborate on automated payment solutions to support driver onboarding and expansion.
