Bayan starts drafting impeachment complaint vs VP Sara Duterte

Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) is drafting an impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte, with chairperson Teddy Casiño confirming the process has begun.

The complaint is expected to be filed in the House of Representatives when Congress resumes session in November.

While the specific grounds for the complaint are not yet detailed, Bayan stated their intention is to hold Duterte accountable rather than engage in politicking.

Vice President Duterte has acknowledged efforts within the House of Representatives to oust her and accused ACT Teachers party-list Representative France Castro of being central to impeachment talks.

Castro denied Duterte's allegations and called the Vice President 'delusional'.

House Speaker Martin Romualdez stated that any impeachment complaint filed would be reviewed.
