3rd Covid-19 death reported in Bataan
Bataan has recorded its third death due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), a 55-year-old man from Orani town.
The man, who had brain herniation, died on Thursday, with his Covid-19 positive result confirmed on Sunday.
A one-month-old boy from Mariveles town is among the 22 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the province.
Other new cases include a 28-year-old male and a 38-year-old man from Limay.
Of the 22 cases, six have recovered and are undergoing post-admission quarantine.
As of Sunday, Bataan has 3,575 persons under monitoring, 807 patients under investigation with mild symptoms, and 124 with moderate to severe symptoms.
Governor Albert Garcia urged residents to continue cooperating with and adhering to the enhanced community quarantine measures, emphasizing the importance of staying at home and practicing social distancing when absolutely necessary.
