The fatalities include a 58-year-old male from Iloilo province who died on Tuesday and a 60-year-old female PUI from Capiz who passed away on Saturday, March 28.

Both individuals died of respiratory complications due to the novel coronavirus.

The Capiz fatality had traveled to Dubai and Manila, while the Ilonggo's travel history is still under review.

Two other new COVID-19 cases were reported: a 53-year-old male from Capiz and a 44-year-old male from Aklan, both in stable condition.

This brings the total COVID-19 cases in Western Visayas to 22.

The DOH-Region VI has begun contact tracing for the two deceased patients.
