Barangay Ginebra defeats Blackwater 103-85 to tie Meralco for 8th seed

Barangay Ginebra secured their second consecutive victory in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup by defeating the Blackwater Bossing with a dominant 103-85 win at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The win lifts Ginebra's record to 4-4, tying them with Meralco for the eighth seed in the playoff race.

RJ Abarrientos led Ginebra with 15 points, supported by 12 points each from Stephen Holt and Jeremiah Gray, 11 points from Jayson David, and 10 points from Troy Rosario.

Ginebra established a commanding lead by outscoring Blackwater 40-20 in the second quarter and building their largest lead at 98-71 in the fourth period.

This loss officially eliminates Blackwater from playoff contention, as they now hold a 1-8 record in the conference.

Dalph Panopio was a standout for Blackwater despite the loss, tallying 22 points and eight rebounds, with Sedrick Barefield and Abu Tratter adding 17 and 12 points respectively.
