Barangay Ginebra clinches Top 4 in PBA All-Filipino after beating Rain or Shine

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel secured a Top 4 incentive in the PBA All-Filipino conference by defeating Rain or Shine ElastoPainters with a dominant 98-80 victory.

The win propelled Ginebra to an 8-3 record, clinching the fourth spot that guarantees a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.

Stephen Holt spearheaded Ginebra's offense with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists, with significant contributions also coming from Japeth Aguilar (18 points) and Jamie Malonzo (15 points).

Ginebra head coach Tim Cone praised Holt's consistent effort and leadership, noting his impact on both ends of the court beyond just scoring.

Ginebra initially held an 18-point lead but Rain or Shine staged a comeback, cutting the deficit to two points before halftime.

The ElastoPainters suffered their second consecutive loss, dropping to a 6-5 record and falling to the seventh seed.

Barangay Ginebra will face Converge in the next round, while Rain or Shine is set to play against the second-seeded NLEX Road Warriors.
