BAP asks for public understanding amid limited services

The Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) is appealing for public understanding as banks are currently operating with limited services due to a skeleton workforce during the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.

Member banks are committed to providing critical financial services, keeping some branches open and ATMs operational, despite difficulties faced by the public in cashing out.

These efforts aim to ensure the continued flow of essential goods and services during the enhanced community quarantine.

BAP assures the public that member banks are taking exceptional measures to maintain service continuity efficiently and sustainably.

The association is in close coordination with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for the smooth implementation of the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.

BAP emphasized the crucial need for public cooperation and understanding in overcoming the current health crisis.
