Aquino pushes for full implementation of Free Internet Access Act

Senator Bam Aquino highlighted that the complete implementation of the Free Internet Access in Public Places Act (RA 10929) will greatly benefit ordinary Filipinos, particularly those lacking affordable internet access.

Aquino emphasized that reliable internet is now a fundamental necessity for education, employment, and everyday living, advocating for its availability in various public locations nationwide.

He stated that internet access is equivalent to access to knowledge and opportunities for life improvement.

Aquino, who was the principal sponsor and co-author of the law in 2017, believes the Free WiFi Law should extend its benefits beyond students and teachers to include commuters, entrepreneurs, and families.

The senator reiterated his desire to see the law effectively implemented to ensure it serves the Filipino people.

The law aims to provide free and reliable internet access in public places across the country.
