Tab Baldwin acknowledges Blue Eagles' struggles amid poor UAAP start

Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin acknowledged the immense pressure on his young Blue Eagles squad as they struggle in the ongoing UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament.

The Blue Eagles are currently at the bottom of the standings with a 1-6 record after their recent loss to National University, marking their worst start in the Final Four era.

Baldwin stated that the team's struggles are affecting the players, particularly rookie Jared Bahay, whose talent has not yet been fully showcased.

Despite the difficulties, Baldwin expressed hope that Bahay will eventually display his full potential on the court.

Baldwin emphasized that the team must rise to the expectations of themselves and their community, and establish respect for their quality of play.

He stressed that there are no excuses for the team's performance so far, which has not met the league's level.

The Blue Eagles' lone win came against the Adamson Falcons, 60-51.
