Baguio Mayor Magalong not invited to Marcos corruption probe

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong has not yet been invited to join President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s independent commission investigating alleged corruption in infrastructure projects.

He expressed surprise that Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co mentioned his name in relation to the probe.

Co doubted the fairness of the probe if Magalong were to be part of it, citing Magalong's earlier statements about him being a mastermind of faulty flood control projects.

Magalong stated that his earlier remarks were based on rumors and hearsay.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin had previously indicated that the commission's composition was not yet finalized and that the President would provide updates.
