Baguio City mayor imposes lockdown on Fairview, warns other barangays

Barangay Fairview in Baguio City was placed under lockdown by Mayor Benjamin Magalong due to violations of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) rules, including residents playing basketball and walking without masks.

Entry and exit points to Barangay Fairview are restricted, allowing only Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR) passage, and previously issued home quarantine passes have been canceled.

Residents of Barangay Fairview are prohibited from leaving their homes, even for necessities, and all travel must be coordinated through the barangay.

Mayor Magalong also warned East Quirino Hill Barangay officials and residents to strictly adhere to ECQ provisions or face a similar lockdown.

Residents in East Quirino Hill were observed drinking liquor, loitering, and not wearing masks.

The lockdown status of Pacdal has been scaled down to only Maria Basa St., while other areas like Upper Dagsian, Scout Barrio, and Woodsgate Subd. remain under lockdown due to confirmed COVID-19 cases.
