Baguio City Hall denies ghost project allegations

The Baguio City Mayor's Office denied allegations of a "ghost" flood control project, responding to an online netizen's query.

The netizen questioned the project's existence and Mayor Benjamin Magalong's involvement, citing his role as an adviser to the Independent Commission for Infrastructure.

The query was based on a billboard detailing a P2.50 million flood control project between the barangays of Sto. Niño and Interior Kit, Bakakeng Central.

The mayor's office clarified that the project was completed between March 17 and June 6, spanning 75 calendar days.

They asserted that the project was fully implemented and provided pictures of the project plan and completed infrastructure to support their claim.

The office also stated that all project documents are available for formal review and urged the public to acknowledge the real efforts done for community safety.
