Bacolod completes vaccination for over 11k residents

As of June 24, 11,015 Bacolod residents have completed their vaccination against Covid-19 after receiving two doses of either Sinovac's CoronaVac or AstraZeneca jabs.

A total of 58,339 vaccine doses have been administered in the city since March 5, with 47,324 being first doses.

Bacolod City received an additional 15,000 vials of Sinovac vaccines on June 23, which are being used in the ongoing vaccination program.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia noted the improving vaccine acceptance among residents and stated that the new vaccine arrivals will accelerate the city's vaccination program.

The vaccination program continues to prioritize essential groups including A1 (healthcare workers), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (individuals with comorbidities).

Ongoing vaccination efforts are taking place at the SMX Convention Center and Ayala Malls Capitol Central from Monday to Friday, with additional rollouts in identified barangays and clustered areas.
